Lakeside Field is an absolutely stunning athletic facility with one of the most picturesque locations you could possibly ask for. Situated right on the edge of Lake Michigan, the breathtaking water views and the refreshing lake breeze make attending a game or going for a workout here an incredible experience. The artificial turf is meticulously maintained and always in pristine condition, providing a top-tier playing surface for sports like soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey. The bleacher seating offers fantastic, unobstructed sightlines of all the action, and the surrounding areas are incredibly clean, safe, and well-kept. Whether you are coming to passionately cheer on the local teams, participating in a club sport, or simply enjoying the spectacular waterfront scenery while you get some fresh air, this field is an absolute standout on campus. I highly recommend catching an evening game here just as the sun begins to set for a truly unforgettable and beautiful atmosphere!

I had the pleasure of watching the varsity soccer team here, and the field conditions were immaculate—smooth turf, clean lines, and excellent lighting. The staff were friendly and ready to help with equipment, while the nearby patio offered a great spot to relax and enjoy the game. Overall, a top‑class experience that makes every visit a highlight.

Lakeside Field is the official home territory of the Northwestern Wildcats Women's Lacrosse (Lax) Team, which has won 7 of the last 9 NCAA collegiate championships. AND, as a spectator to this awesome game and team, you get to look out over Lake Michigan and southward to the fantastic Chicago Skyline. One of the best fields in the world for its view and its champions.
